No, you need a smart home system i.e. QUBO Indoor Camera which is compatible for Smart Home system. These smart home systems (Smart Plug) usually require a smart home control unit (often called gateway, bridge or hub), an internet connection for installation purposes and a compatible Android or iOS device with the QUBO app.
Device is connected/commissioned but it is not working/responding?
There could be multiple reason that your device is not working:
- Smart Indoor camera is off.
- Low internet connectivity
- Might your smart plug be at more distance. Please keep it closer with Smart Indoor camera.

You can download the Qubo App from Google Play store or Apple store.
Do I have to pay for app?
The app is absolutely free.
Alexa
Can I use Alexa or Google Assistant to set the Schedule function of QUBO Smart Plug?
You can only use Alexa to turn the Smart Plug on/off. Also you can use the QUBO App to schedule functions as per your choices.
Can multiple plugs work with Alexa?
Yes, you can commission multiple Smart Plugs with QUBO App and same can be controlled by Alexa.
Device Installation and Functions
How can I schedule events for QUBO Smart Plug?
Below are the steps to schedule the event:
- Select the Smart Plug from your QUBO App.
- Click on the setting icon from the upper right corner.
- Select schedule from the menu.
- Select the days and mention switch on and switch off time as per your requirement.
- Save the schedule.
Can I still manually turn on/off my appliances via the traditional switch on the wall?
Yes, you can still manually turn on/off the appliances through the traditional as well as switch provided on the top of QUBO Smart Plug.
What mobile platforms are supported?
The App supports Android and iOS operating systems.
Does the Timer and Schedule function still work if internet connection (such as WIFI disconnect, etc.) is down?
Yes, timer and schedule function still work if Internet connection is down because they are directly controlled between IC and Plug without need of Wi-Fi. However, IC must remain powered on.
Can I track the power consumed with the help of QUBO Smart Plug?
The Qubo Smart Plug is capable of tracking the power consumed by the device that is plugged into it. To check the power consumption, click the setting icon on the top right of Smart Plug page.
Can I plug in a power strip to the smart plug?
Yes, you can plug a power strip into a QUBO Smart Plug and turn it on/off via the QUBO app or voice command though Alexa. The total draw and wattage of devices plugged into the power strip should be within the rated amperage and wattage of the QUBO Smart Plug.
Can a QUBO smart plug work with any appliance?
It works with 16A high wattage devices such as AC, Geyser, Water pump, etc.
Can QUBO Smart Plug work with Apple Home Kit?
No, Our Smart devices doesn’t support Apple Home KIT.
Are QUBO smart plugs safe to use?
