Incorrectly installing the device may lead to false notifications. So make sure both pieces of the sensor are properly aligned and placed within 15mm of distance from each other.
Peel off the plastic film from the back of the device and the magnet to expose the double-sided tape. Now the device (Wider part) should be pasted on the door frame and the magnet should be pasted on the door. Make sure both the units are less than 15mm apart. Keeping the door closed during installation will ensure better alignment.
