Smart Heater 2000W with App
General
Best suited for rooms up to 150-250* sq ft. For larger rooms, it will still heat well but may take longer to reach your target temperature.
* Depends on outside temperature
The heater has built-in overheat protection, tip-over shutoff, and a safe cooldown fan. That said, we recommend not leaving it on unattended through the night. Here's how to use it safely while you sleep:
- Use the Timer to automatically turn it off after 1–2 hours once you've fallen asleep
- Place it on a hard, flat surface away from your bed, curtains, and any soft furnishings
- Make sure the air vents are clear before sleeping
- Never leave the heater running in a room with unsupervised children
For added peace of mind, the app will also alert you if the heater has been running continuously for 8 hours
This is an additional safety feature. The fan runs for 30 seconds after shutdown to cool the heating element safely. It will stop on its own.
Setup & Commissioning
Power on the Smart Heater -> Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds -> Open the Qubo App -> Click on “+” icon at top right corner -> Select Heater -> Select your Heater Model -> Allow All permissions -> Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi credentials to complete setup.
2.4GHz only. If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz on the same network name, you may need to separate them temporarily or connect your phone to the 2.4GHz band during setup.
Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, you've granted all requested permissions (Bluetooth, Location, Notifications), and your phone is within arm's reach of the heater. If the scan still fails, press and hold the power button on the heater hardware for 10 seconds to reset the heater to pairing mode and try again.
Only during initial pairing/setup. Once paired up, you can control the heater from anywhere via mobile data or any Wi-Fi network.
This is usually a Wi-Fi or proximity issue, not a problem with the heater itself. Try the following steps in order:
- Make sure you're on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. The heater does not support 5GHz. If your router broadcasts both on the same network name, temporarily separate them or manually connect your phone to the 2.4GHz band before pairing.
- Move your phone closer to the heater. Keep it within arm's reach during the entire pairing process. Distance weakens the Bluetooth signal used during setup.
- Move your router closer to the heater. A weak Wi-Fi signal at the heater's location is the most common cause of setup getting stuck. Try pairing with the router in the same room if possible.
- After waiting for 5-7 minutes. Close the app fully and check again.
- If the heater is not controllable via the app, and the issue persists, remove the Heater from Settings -> Remove Device. Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds until the red-light blinks. This resets the heater and makes it discoverable again. Start the pairing again keeping the above pointers in mind
- Check your phone's permissions. Make sure Bluetooth and Location permissions are all granted for the Qubo app. On some Android devices, denying Location permission silently blocks device discovery.
- If none of the above work, contact Qubo support with your phone model and the percentage at which the app is getting stuck, this helps us identify if there is a device-specific issue
Yes. Add each heater separately through the app. You can control all of them from a single dashboard.
Yes. Multiple users can log into the same Qubo account from different phones and control the heater.
AI Sense
AI Sense is Qubo's smart AI mode. It has two parts: Temperature Lock, which heats your room to a target temperature and maintains it automatically, and Smart Presence, which notifies you when you leave home with the heater on or when you're about to arrive home to a powered off heater.
You set a target temperature (between 15°C and 45°C). The heater starts on High, steps down to Medium, then Low as the room warms up. When the target is reached, it turns off. If the room drops 1°C below the target, it turns back on. You don't have to do anything after setting the target.
Minimum is 15°C, maximum is 45°C.
No. Temperature Lock is always active when AI Sense is on. You can turn off Smart Presence independently, but Temperature Lock is the core of AI Sense.
Smart Presence detects when you leave home or arrive home using your phone's location. It sends you a notification - not an automatic action. You decide what to do from the notification.
No. It is nudge-only. It sends you a notification asking if you want to turn the heater on or off. You stay in control at all times.
- When you leave home with the heater on: "Looks like you've left home. Do you want to turn off your heater?" or similar notification
- When you're heading home and the heater is off: "You are nearly home. Do you want to start heating your room?" or similar notification
Yes. In the AI Sense card under Smart Presence, you can independently toggle entry notifications and exit notifications on or off.
It uses a pre-defined geofence radius around the location where you pair your heater with the app.
Yes, it still detects your location relative to the geofence. But notifications will only be sent to your phone when you cross the boundary/radius; so being far away has no effect until you return.
Temperature Lock continues to run on the heater's internal hardware - the temperature target is stored on the hardware. Smart Presence requires connectivity to send notifications, so those will not come while offline.
Try the following in order:
- Check your location permission. Go to your phone's Settings -> Apps -> Qubo -> Location. Make sure it is set to "Always" - not "Only while using the app." Smart Presence cannot detect home/away in the background without Always permission.
- Check notification permissions. Go to Settings -> Apps -> Qubo -> Notifications. Make sure notifications are turned on. If this is off, no Smart Presence alerts will reach you regardless of anything else.
- Check your in-app Smart Presence settings. Open the app -> AI Sense card -> Smart Presence. Make sure the toggles for entry and/or exit notifications are turned on.
- Check your Wi-Fi and mobile data. Smart Presence needs an active internet connection to send you a notification. Make sure your phone has mobile data or Wi-Fi when you are away from home.
- Android users - check battery optimization. Most Android manufacturers aggressively restrict background apps; this silently stops Smart Presence from working. Go to:
- Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO: Settings -> Apps -> Qubo -> Battery Saver -> No restrictions. Also enable AutoStart for Qubo.
- Samsung: Settings -> Apps -> Qubo -> Battery -> Unrestricted. Also check Settings -> Device Care -> Battery -> Sleeping Apps - remove Qubo if it's listed there.
- Vivo: Settings -> Apps -> Qubo -> Battery -> No restrictions. Enable Autostart in the iManager app.
- OPPO / Realme: Settings -> Apps -> Qubo -> Battery -> Allow background activity. Enable Auto-launch.
- Other Android: Settings -> Battery -> Battery Optimization -> find Qubo -> select "Don't optimize."
- iOS users - check Background App Refresh. Go to Settings -> General -> Background App Refresh -> make sure it is turned on for Qubo.
- If notifications are still not arriving after all of the above, contact Qubo support with your phone model and Android version.
Controls
Swing rotates the heater on each side horizontally, distributing warm air across a wider area of the room.
Each press of the Timer button adds 1 hour, up to a maximum of 12 hours. The heater turns off automatically when the countdown ends. You can also set and reset the timer from the app.
A Schedule lets you set a specific ON time, OFF time, and repeat days for your heater. You can choose which mode (including AI Sense) the schedule runs in.
The timer takes priority. The app will ask for confirmation before pausing the schedule. Once the timer expires, the schedule resumes if it's still within its active window.
Child Lock disables all physical buttons on the heater, so settings can't be changed accidentally. To turn on Child Lock press the “+” and “-” buttons together for 5 seconds. Child Lock can also be toggled from the app.
Alexa
Yes. Link your Qubo account to Alexa from the app settings. Once linked, you can say things like "Alexa, turn on heater," "Alexa, turn off heater," "Alexa, change mode to Low," or "Alexa, turn on AI Sense."
Yes. Say "Alexa, set target temperature to 25 degrees" and Alexa will set your target temperature.
Troubleshooting
Check that the heater is plugged in and powered on. Check your home Wi-Fi is working. If the issue persists, go to Settings -> Wi-Fi Settings in the app to reconnect the heater to your network without re-pairing.
Force-close and reopen the app. If still unresponsive, go to Settings -> Restart Device. If the issue continues, check your Wi-Fi signal strength near the heater.
Go to Settings -> Wi-Fi Settings in the app and reconnect the heater to your updated network. You do not need to re-pair the device.
Possible reasons: timer expired, Temperature Lock reached the target, overheat protection triggered (check that vents are clear), or a schedule ended.
